The Catalyst 6503-E switch is an enhanced version of the Catalyst 6503 switch. The 3-slot horizontal chassis supports redundant power supplies, redundant supervisor engines, and slots for up to two modules. It also supports a greater power capacity per slot than the Catalyst 6503 switch chassis. The Catalyst 6503-E switch chassis is NEBS L3 compliant
